Pubs

Me loves me some pubs.

Nothin' like a dim-lit and drunken space that makes you feel like your "bad" outfit and "bad" behavior don't stand out amongst a crowd.

No one notices that you walk on and under tables or make a mess. Or that you moved their snowglobes.

When they do, they compliment yah.

"Yer a strong and handsome fellah aren't yah."

The way you can de-individuate, melt into the collective and feel totally unnoticed into spaces like these, allowing you to enjoy the noise--plates clunking, glasses clinking, and people chuckling.

Corporate chains.

Just not the same.
