Hesitations

I still haven’t quite found the words for the “I could tell” response when I disclose my son’s diagnosis.

On the one hand, I want to say “awesome, I’m glad you know enough to assess and adjust your communication accordingly” and on the other hand, I want to say “what were your indicators, jerk-nugget?”

My emotional responses are very complex and difficult to navigate.

I’m an enigma.

What can I say.
