Covid, Autism and Naps

Your child is not yet ready to describe his health.

He is still learning action words like “go", “more,” “run” and “yes.”

Not descriptors.

He can’t tell you he has a head ache,

a sore throat,

or body discomfort.

He actually has a inconceivably high pain tolerance, which is why you aren’t even sure, if he has the sensory capacity to recognize these kinds of nuianced body alterations.

He still gives a lot of open mouthed kisses to his therapists, teacher’s aides and mama, all of whom have worked with a lot of people in their industries until just recently; some even now.

He touches a lot of things without regard.

AND lately, he’s been taking naps.

He never takes naps.

The mind is playing tricks on me.
