Young Advocates
My 6-year-old daughter, Lily Blue, loves her brother.
Often, she is very intimidated by his style of communication.
He hits.
He throws.
But when her friends ask "why doesn't Dublin talk" or "why does he squeal?"
She shrugs, rolls her eyes and says "he's in therapy" with a "he's-got-this-no-big-deal" face.
From families, advocates are born.
