Vanity
The KING is rather curious about his own reflection as of late.
Whenever he passes a mirror, a window, a shiny door knob,
he stops laughs, smiles and dances for it.
He seems fascinated by these reflective stages that provide him a space to act out his own ego, to test out and embody what life looks like between people.
Vanity. It’s not just for millenials. It’s universal.
Vanity. Mirrors. Cameras. Selfie sticks. Laughs. Smile. Dance for it.
Vanity. A performance of ego. A performance test. An embodiment of what we think life “should” looks like between people.
No one’s immune.

…and yes, I did buy the KING a vanity to support his curiousities for XMAS.
…and yes, that is a picture of his vanity in the back seat of my car.
…and yes, we often drive around with a vanity and a king-sized blanket.
What can I say? We are a vain an anxious lot.
We need reflective affirmations.
We need weighted comforts to weigh down what vanity can not do for our over-reactive bodies and minds.
