The Bed That Only Bunked Once

20171129-bunkbed.jpg

Excited was I to buy this bed.

The cozy place that would house my children's cuddles, nighttime reads and giggles.

My brother and I had such things.

BUT this bed never housed such things.

Dublin's nighttime adventures (and terrors) would keep Lily up, which is a lesson we only needed to learn once.

Sad was I to let this bed go.

Function and safety forced my hand.

And while I know in my heart letting go was a very good decision, I mourned for Lily and Dublin's bunk bed connection.
