Television Prerequisites

Watching television requires prerequisite skills.

The watcher needs to be able to attend to content for several consecutive minutes.

The watcher needs to be comfortable with sitting for several consecutive minutes.

The watchers needs to be able to comprehend the content to maintain interest enough to sit through it.

When there is one watcher who attends and sits for a maximum 7-15 minutes consecutively and does not comprehend what’s happening on the TV in the household, then there are no watchers of television until said watcher without prerequisite skills retires for bed at about 8 pm, at which point the other watchers are exhausted from entertaining said watcher all day and regularly retire within 30 minutes after his retirement.

In an autistic household like ours, there will be no bingin,’ chillin’ and no Netflixin’.

We’ve actually never seen a full length movie as a family together.
