Summa' Theatah!

A community gathering that celebrates diversity,

love,

life.

A place for families and friends to cultivate a musical memory among trees and their oxidations.

A space for an autistic amazing to

sit,

run,

scream,

laugh

whenever

and

wherever he wants.

 The performers pretend not to dictate what and how this audience member thinks. 

The space pretends not to dictate what and how he behaves.

If thy audience member wants to sit and stare at the sky or the stage, he shall.

If thy audience member wants to run towards a butterfly and sing along, he shall.

If thy audience member wants to scream at a passerby squirrel or at the performers, he shall.

If thy audience member wants to laugh at himself or the theatrical content, he shall. 

These loose audience rules allow special needs families to experience the world (and the world of performance) without the guilt of disturbing others.

If only the world's rules were so loose.

These are just a few of my favorite things about the Summa' Thea-tah that make the world feel less bad.
