Love Is
Love is hearing all sounds he makes, even the loud ones, the loud ones that are unintelligable, as his form of communication.
Love is smelling his unkept teeth with the intent to help him better learn how to brush them on his own.
Love is excitedly tasting his chewed up apple that he shoves into your mouth to show that you appreciate that he is sharing.
Love is only seeing the poop he wiped in his hair enough to clean it out for him.
Love is accepting and embracing his uncalculated, vigorously forceful touch delivered in his attempts to hug you without uttering disapproval, shaming him for not quite knowing how to manipulate his limbs in the gentle ways that come so easily for others.
Love is about training your senses,
making sure they are sensitive to
the loves of your life’s needs.
