Gratitude

Grateful are we that Dublin’s ABA, Occupational and Speech Therapists reported to work, risking their lives, to help us navigate the most challenging year that our little king has ever had.

You were there for us,

to help us through Zoom sessions,

to help us through medication changes,

to help us recover from minor surgery.

You were there for us,

despite our mood changes,

our body changes,

our dysregulations.

Without your (masked) faces and (washed) hands, our family would have suffered.

If it wasn’t for you,

the sounds of our breath

would have sounded choppier, heavier, louder.

You are the KIND that keeps families breathing.

Team Ochoa totally plans to win the lottery one day, to repay you in cash for your invested hearts, but until then we can only offer very small symbolic substitutes for gratitude.
