Bliss

Have you every watched a sunset alone?

Or walked by yourself amongst gargantuan trees?

Or swam in the ocean several feet away from anyone?

Those moments when nature seems to envelope you,

radiate through you as you watch, walk, swim.

You look around and you almooooost wish someone else could see what just happened before you.

The sun fell.

The trees rustled.

The ocean thrusted.

You felt a shake from the earth that you can't quite explain.

How can you possibly package those experiences into words for someone else's comprehension?

This is the only way I know how to explain what it's like to watch Dublin connect with others; to hold his sister's hand, to chase his dad, to lean into his grandparents, to laugh with his uncle Shawn O'Rourke.

This is the only way I know how to explain what's it's like to watch Dublin pick up a new skill or reveal a new personality trait.

To watch the mystery of his nature unfold in his environment is nothing short of bliss.
