2019-20 BEGINS!
...and so it begins!!!
May the universe give my little walking souls more opportunities to hone their little talking voices this next academic year.
May their coaches, teachers, therapists, and loved ones plant more seeds into their neurology matter, without weeding out what they think is the matter with them.
Our pencils won't always be sharpened.
Our bodies won't always be alert.
Our homework won't always be done.
Our papers won't always be signed.
Our tummies won't always be full.
This year our hope is that when we are struggling, people will see us.
Our hope is that when we are thriving, people will remind us.
Our hope is that when we are making mistakes, people will relate to us.
Our hope is that even when we are not able to talk, people will keep trying to have conversations with us.
We feel when you give up.
Our hope is that we will give our coaches, teachers, therapists, and loved ones more confidence in who they are and what they do, and that they will help us gain more confidence in who we are and what we do.
May we feel like we are growing between voices; between people.
Growing on the outskirts hurts.
It's painful.
It dries our seeds out.
May 2019-2020 be the year where we feel between the voices in our educational, medical, therapeutic and interpersonal communities, for it is only between them that we can collectively build stronger voices together!
